Why is ‘300’ representing males with old fashion Ideologies? Is the New Man Dead?
Is the new man really dead? ‘300’ is representing males with masculine ideologies, thus showing men more dominant than any other being. Although men in 300 are seen territorial the message put across is the basics of men’s stereotype of being 'Selfish, Loutish and inconsiderate... [They like] drinking, football and fucking, and in that order of preference ... [and are]... defensively masculine' in modern day. My study will base that are these stereotypes giving the conclusion of the new man being dead or is it that the new man is already dead and the old fashion ideologies are reborn to put women back in their place.
